The colorful hallways of Everyday Blessings in Thonotosassa were filled with busy workers glueing, hammering and unrolling tubes of carpet as part of Plant City Lowe’s Heroes Project.
Volunteers consisted of employees from the Plant City Lowe’s and contractors from Keller Interiors who work directly with Lowe’s.
Each year Lowe’s allocates a specific amount of money for the Heroes Project. This is the tenth year that the Plant City location has participated in the service project. Last year, they completed renovations to the Pregnancy Care Center of Plant City.
Lowe’s heard about Everyday Blessings from the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
Everyday Blessings cares for up to 28 children in Thonotosassa while they wait for permanent placement. The children in the program range in age from newborn through 17. They come from all economic backgrounds and ethnic groups and have been removed from their previous home due to abuse, neglect or abandonment.
