Mark Ober, State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit, held a watch party Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Pepin Hospitality.
Hundreds of supporters joined him for drinks and appetizers as the results rolled in for the local, state and presidential elections.
Ober was narrowly defeated by Democrat and political newcomer Andrew Warren, who won by less than 1%.
Ober addressed his supporters and thanked them for their support of both him and his campaign.
“I am so honored that you would be here with me tonight,” Ober said. “I cannot thank you enough. What a blessing we have in this nation … to vote. For each and every one of you that have stood beside me, God bless you. I’m so honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with you and the work you have done for this community.”
Ober has served as the State Attorney since 2000.
