It was a parade full of pride and history, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Cultural Arts Festival Parade.
Numerous high and middle schools marched in the procession playing musical instruments and cheering. Over 10 corvettes roared through the line which stretched from Plant City’s downtown to the MLK Recreation Center. Beads and candy were thrown to hungry spectators and Martin Luther King Jr.’s legendary speech, “I Have a Dream,” blared through car speakers.
