Plant City High School’s honor students had much to be happy about on Thursday night, as many of them were given scholarships at the school’s annual Awards Night.
FIfty-three scholarshp awards were presented to the students, though some awards had multiple recipients: for example, 15 students received the Rotary Club Scholarship Award – a total of $13,000 was given to them.
While many of the presenters were local celebrities, or past alumni returning for the night, others came from around the country to present awards. Representatives from the Navy and Air Force were even on hand for two students.
