Everybody at the Planteen Rec Center was in high Halloween spirits, as the center hosted its annual Spooktacular event Saturday evening.
In addition to all of the funhouse-style games, there was also a costume contest for the kids and a “cake walk” competition with baked sweets for prizes. Those who wanted to sit down and relax could do so in the movie room, where Hotel Transylvania was played on a projector screen.
But the highlight of Spooktacular was its “scare room,” where attendees were led inside by a creepy little girl and given a fright-filled tour complete with strobe lights, a zombie butcher, and other monsters.
