It was a super Relay for Life Kickoff party at Plant City’s First Baptist Church. This year’s Relay theme is superheroes. Attendees enjoyed learning about Relay, picking out their teams’ superhero theme, making superhero masks and munching on pizza and cupcakes.
The Relay committee also rolled out The Cupcake Challenge.
If you are challenged, you have two options: smash a cupcake in your face and donate $10 to the person or team who challenged you, or skip the sugar and donate $20 to the person or team that challenged you.
Committee members were creamed by this year’s Honorary Survivor, elementary student Ava Raab.
