Thursday was the last day of the Chargers Baseball Camp at Strawberry Crest High School.

About 25 kids ranging from 13 to 17 took part in the camp, where they learned the fundamentals of the game along with some of the finer points of each position. Participants ranged from eighth graders and incoming freshmen to rising juniors and senior varsity players.

The camp also formed two teams that will compete in games against other schools next week. The Chargers Baseball Camp has been been held at SCHS for the past five years.

The second session of the camp will run from July 22-25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. The camp is open to all male students entering sixth through 12th grade. The cost is $120 per week. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and have a chance to win prizes. Checks can be made payable to Strawberry Crest High School.
