Thousands came out Saturday for the sixth annual Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival at Keel and Curley Winery.
Families with Plant City Observer buckets in tow took part in a U-pick, loading up on pounds of fresh picked blueberries from the Keel and Curley crop.
Other activities included bounce houses, laser tag, food and drink vendors and an assortment of craft booths.
Morgan Pierce, the honorary Blueberry Princess for the first annual Tampa Bay Blueberry Queen Pageant, received a check and a trip to Anna Maria Island Resort Saturday. Proceeds from the pageant went to the Morgan Pierce Foundation, benefitting Morgan’s fight of childhood cancer.
The Robert Harris played for a large crowd on the Plant City Observer Stage to open the festival. Acts from around the Tampa Bay area will be performing all weekend.
The Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival will go until 6 p.m. Saturday and continue Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
