The youth group at Trinity United Methodist Church held its annual cross walk today in Plant City.
Frontline Youth Alliance does the walk each year on Good Friday. The walk had members of the youth group swap off carrying a large wooden cross and other members carrying signs that said “Trinity United Methodist Youth” and “Jesus’ Blood Shed for You.”
“Our goal is to impact this city and remind people of the story of the cross,” said Frontline Youth Alliance pastor Stetson Glass. “We don’t necessarily want to get people to our church, but we want to impact them to remember what Good Friday and Easter are about.”
The march traveled north up James L. Redman Parkway and Collins Street, before going east down Reynolds Street. The walk ended at Trinity United Methodist, 402 West English Street.
