The rain couldn’t stop a brick dedication at Veterans Memorial Park Wednesday, May 22.
An intimate group gathered under the gazebo to listen to remarks from Mayor Mike Sparkman and park committee member Jennifer Closshey. Youth pop singing group NRG performed the nation anthem.
The next brick dedication will be in November. Each brick is $150. To honor a veteran with a brick, visit veteransmonument.com or pick up an order form at the greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce or at the park, located at Courier Field off N. Wheeler Street.
