A week long volleyball camp concluded today at Plant City High School. The camp featured 20 participants, ranging from middle school students new to the game to junior varsity and varsity players at PCHS.

The camp was led by PCHS head coach Jessica Thorton, who took the Lady Raiders to regionals last year in her first season as head coach. Thorton was officially hired late last summer, so this week marked her first camp at PCHS.

“It’s exciting to see some of the little girls that may be picking up a ball and learning the game for the first time,” Thorton said. “In the future, we hope to have separate sessions for the different age groups.”

In addition to Thorton, some of the older varsity players also helped out with drills and games.
