There’s no better place to pig out in November than right here in Plant City.
Last weekend was further proof of that, as the 2019 Pig Jam barbecue competition took over the lot behind the Randy L. Larson Softball Four-Plex and drew competitors from all over the nation, as well as hungry families looking to spend their “Pig Bucks” on world-class cooking. Competitors were judged individually in the categories of Chicken, Ribs, Pork and Brisket, plus “Backyard” categories for each, and then graded by their overall scores.
There was also a big play area for the kids, live music by the Daniel Sprouse Band, a margarita competition, a fireworks show the night of Nov. 22 that lit up the smoke-filled skies and more.
