St. Clement Catholic Church’s Knights of Columbus delivered 211 wrapped baby gifts to The Pregnancy Care Center of Plant City Thursday, July 28.
Gifts included diapers, thermometers, clothes, baby wipes, mattresses and strollers. Church members brought in the gifts as part of fundraiser and wrapped them to look like gifts for a baby shower.
“I’m so totally blown away,” Darlene Davis, executive director of the Pregnancy Care Center, said.
The center averages between 100 to 110 clients per week. The gifts will go to the center’s boutique, where center visitors, clients and students can purchase them with earned “baby bucks.” The boutique is part of the center’s Earn While You Learn program.
