A man robbed the Family Dollar on North Gordon Street at about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20.
The suspect entered the Family Dollar at 105 N. Gordon St. while armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect approached a cashier and demanded money.
After receiving the cash, the suspect fled the store on foot in a southbound direction.
The suspect was described as a black male, possibly late teens, 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 8, medium build and was wearing a black hooded sweater, gray jogging pants and gloves.
