The City of Plant City has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the budget year beginning Jan. 1, 2016, according to a letter sent to the city.
The program was established in 1984 to “encourage … governments to prepare budget documents … that reflect both the guidelines established by the National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting and the GFOAs best practices on budgeting,” according to the GFOA website.
Budget Manager April Condo also received recognition in the letter and was awarded a certificate of achievement.
