One Plant City man died in a rollover crash this morning on Interstate 4.
According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, George J. Durden, 29, of Plant City, was driving a 2009 Ford F-250 at a high rate of speed at about 12:11 a.m. Feb. 8, on westbound I-4, west of McIntosh Road. Durden lost control of the vehicle, which traveled off the roadway and overturned several times in the median.
Both Durden and a passenger, Kasie M. Durden, 27, also of Plant City, were ejected from the vehicle. George Durden suffered fatal injuries and expired at the scene of the crash. Kasie Durden was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, with critical injuries.
