Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has identified a burglary suspect, Donnell Lamar Jones, 34, whose last known addresses were in Lakeland and Plant City.
HCSO has linked Jones to the burglary of four residences in Valrico Dec. 30 and Dec. 31, while victims were asleep in their beds. In each case, the suspect entered the residences through a rear door. In two of the cases, the suspect forced entry with an unknown tool, but in the other two cases, the doors had been left unlocked. The suspect removed purses and electronics.
Shortly thereafter, the victims’ credit cards were used at various stores in Hillsborough and Polk counties. Jones was identified based on video surveillance from the stores.
Warrants have been issued to Jones on accounts of burglary, organized scheme to defraud, possession of stolen credit card, fraudulent use of credit card and grand theft.
