Police found 71 marijuana plants in various stages of development.
The Special Investigations Unit of the Plant City Police Department executed a search warrant Friday, Feb. 5, that lead to the discovery of a marijuana grow operation inside of a home.
Seventy-one marijuana plants, in various stages of development, were found at 11:20 a.m. at 803 Valencia Road. The plants were impounded as evidence along with other equipment such as lighting and growth chemicals.
James Joseph Walker, 45, and Darla Nunnery Walker, 37, were arrested and taken into custody.
Joseph and Walker were both charged with:
– Cultivation of cannabis
– Possession of cannabis with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a School
– Possession of a controlled substance (amphetamines)
– Keeping a public nuisance structure
– Child neglect
– Possession of drug paraphernalia
