Jarrod Shane Butterworth was pronounced dead the morning of Friday, Jan. 15.
Jarrod Shane Butterworth was found dead at Falkenburg Road Jail Friday morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department.
Butterworth, who had been in jail since Oct. 21, was discovered to have hanged himself with a bed sheet in a laundry room. Deputies performed CPR and notified the jail's medical staff, but was pronounced dead after being transported to Brandon Hospital.
In October, he had been arrested by Plant City Police Department and charged with seven counts of kidnapping, four counts of armed robbery and one count of grand theft auto after robbing Regions Bank, Arby's, Sonic and Sunshine Convenience Store.
