The Publix Supermarkets at Walden Woods will be opening a liquor store as early as Thursday, Jan. 21, spokesperson Brian West said.
“We just don’t have a hard date yet,” West said. The target date for the store’s opening is Jan. 21, but the store could open as late as Thursday, Jan. 28.
The liquor store, which is located between Bealls and Great American Barber Shop, is 1,270 square feet.
“There’s certainly the market (for one),” West said. “Where we have the ability to open one, we generally try to do so.”
The Walden Woods location will be the first Publix liquor store in Plant City. As of right now, West said there are no plans to open an additional liquor store at Publix’s Thonotosassa Road location.
