PCD Midgets complete perfect season
The Plant City Dolphins Midgets football team just did something few teams can claim on a resume.
With Saturday’s 47-0 win over the Polk City Jaguars in Plant City, the Dolphins finished the 2020 TCYFCC regular season completely unblemished — no losses and no points allowed — and extended their league-record win streak to 50 and counting. Their 8-0-0 record is the only perfect one in the Midgets division.
The Mighty Mites, Pee Wees and Junior Varsity Dolphins also finished the regular season with 8-0-0 records on Saturday with respective wins of 40-0, 48-0 and 35-0 over Polk City.
The first round of the TCYFCC playoffs will kick off Jan. 9 at four various sites (Brandon Broncos, Seffner Seahawks, Mulberry Panthers, Lakeland Eagles).
