The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for The Herd Museum of Fine Art and Collectibles Feb. 1, at its location, 113 South Palmer Street.
The Herd Museum, which is owned by Tim and Jeannette Shaw, showcases fine-art pieces by well-known artists such as Morris Katz, Helen Wilson Sherman, Gene Cox, Melvin King, Ansel Adams and many more. The museum also has exhibits of collectibles such as movie memorabilia, porcelain dolls and figurines. Admission prices range from $5 to $10. Patrons who bring a canned good for the United Food Bank receive a discount on tickets.
