ALL-STARS ROUNDUP
9-10 team wins state title
The Plant City 9-10 All-Stars are on top of the world right now — or, at least on top of the state.
On Sunday, July 19, Plant City wrapped up its run through the state tournament with an 8-2 rout of runner-up Eau Gallie Little League, Section 2-District 2 champions.
Plant City cruised through Pool B, for the most part, getting 11-1 and 6-2 wins over South Fort Myers and North Springs Little Leagues, respectively. The team’s toughest test came on July 18, when the boys pulled out a gritty 8-7 win over Oviedo Little League.
