TENNIS
+ Maggie Pate performing well
Local tennis player Maggie Pate is on fire this summer. Pate, 14, won four consecutive tournaments in 16-and-under play.
In July, she was chosen to play No. 1 on the USTA 14-and-under’s Florida team, during the Zonal Team Championships in Arlington, Texas. It was the last 14U tournament Pate plans to compete in, having moved up an age group for the competition.
