Plant City's softball fields are going to be as busy as ever this week.
The International Senior Softball Association/World Baseball Softball Confederation Tournament of Champions Slow Pitch Softball Tournament started today and will feature games with more than 130 teams of players 40 and older throughout the week. Though the tournament is using 23 Hillsborough County fields, seven of them are in Plant City.
On Friday, the ISSA All-Star team will face the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team in an exhibition game at Plant City Stadium. The game will start after the 6:30 p.m. home run derby. Parking and admission are free.
