Plant City teenagers interested in a summer internship can apply Monday, March 14.
South Florida Baptist Hospital could use some helping hands this summer – and it's turning to the teens.
The hospital announced Tuesday that it's seeking volunteers for the period of June 13 to Aug. 5, and will open registration on Monday, March 14 in the hospital's main lobby. There will only be 60 applications available, and teens will only be allowed to take two at a time.
“We love our teen volunteers,” volunteer coordinator Eugena Gale said in a release. “We really appreciate their giving up their summer for us.”
Applicants must be aged 14-18, and must have at least a 2.5 GPA. They must be able to be present for no less than seven of the program's eight weeks, and two unexcused absences will be grounds for termination.
Applications must be returned to the hospital by 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24. For more information, contact Gale at 813-757-8199 or 813-757-8383.
