The Optimist and Daybreak Rotary clubs recently held oratorical contests for Plant City children.
Six Plant City-area students were recently named winners of oratorical contests held by the Optimist and Daybreak Rotary clubs.
Katelyn Yarbrough won the Daybreak Rotary competition, with Arie Fry and Jacob Cothren finishing second and third, respectively.

In the Optimist Club's contest, Plant City High student Caroline Brummer won first place in the girls division, and Tomlin Middle student Hannah Manley was runner-up. On the boys' side, Gavin Hessler won the competition.
