Strawberry Smoothie | Devon Higginbotham
During the winter strawberry season, when the berries are plentiful, Devon Higginbotham stashes her excess in the freezer for smoothies. If you want to keep them from freezer burn, use a vacuum sealer to remove the air so they stay fresh longer.
INGREDIENTS
Dozen frozen berries (or about a cup of frozen fruit)
½ banana
¼ cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 cup apple juice (or any fruit juice)
1 teaspoon honey
METHOD
• Put all ingredients into blender, and turn it on.
• If the ingredients are too thick to swirl, add more juice a little at a time. If it looks too thin, throw in more frozen fruit.
