A suspect has been identified in a Plant City double homicide, and police are attempting to find him.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office have issued a warrant for the arrest of Michael Anthony Herald, born July 5, 1967. Deputies believe that Herald is connected with the deaths of Nancy and John Engelhart.
Deputies responded to the Engelharts' McIntosh Road home just after 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, in reference to a welfare check. They found the couple's mail stacked on top of the mailbox, their vehicle missing from the carport, and, upon entering the shed, the bodies of the deceased. Further investigation through a search warrant determined that Herald had been hired by the Engelharts as a handyman.
The stolen vehicle is a white 2015 Ford Explorer SUV, tag number EFM D62.
