The driver was flown to Lakeland following an accident on James L. Redman Parkway Wednesday morning.
A 17-year-old boy was air lifted to Lakeland Regional Health with serious injuries after being ejected from the vehicle he was driving, police said.
According to the Plant City Police Department. The teen was driving north on James L. Redman Parkway just before 11 a.m. when witnesses say they saw the 1994 Ford Ranger he was driving jerk to the right after nearly hitting the center median. The vehicle then rolled over, and spun ejecting the driver and coming to a rest facing south. Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and it is unknown what led to the accident. The driver was alone in the vehicle and no other vehicles were involved in the accident, police said.
The driver was transported by LifeNet to Lakeland Regional Health with serious injuries.
