Ten high school students in Plant City are among the 16,000 semifinalists named in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Natalie Raschke, of Durant High School; Ellen Adams and William Lamoreaux, of Plant City High School; and Dana Beriswill, Evan Bishop, Kathleen Callahan, Darius D’Souza, Rebecca Fate, Jade Philipoom and Allison Stahr, of Strawberry Crest High School, all now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for about 8,300 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $32 million. The scholarships will be awarded next spring.
