Thirty-four Plant City students headed to Florida State Assembly

On Wednesday, March 30, 109 teens from the Tampa YMCA's Youth in Government program will visit Tallahassee for the Florida State Assembly, a model legislative program that is hosted in at least 45 states across the country.

The program is student-run, and members write their own bills, elect their own officers, engage in debates and learn the process of a bill becoming a law.

Out of those teens, 34 are from Plant City. The kids will leave March 30, from the North Brandon Family YMCA in Seffner.
