Tug on your boots and pull up your Wranglers because it’s time for the Woman’s Club of Plant City’s Barnyard Bash.
The bash will be hosted at a barn off Berry Patch Road March 23. The festivities will start at 4 p.m.
Plenty of games will be held, all with a country theme like pin the tail on the pig and pitching horseshoes.
Line dancing lessons will be the highlight of the night.
In the past, the Woman’s Club has held a fashion show and dinner at Carabas for their fundraiser. This is the first year a Barnyard Bash will be held.
“This year we thought we’d try something different,” first vice president, Peggy Hyde, said.
Member Jeri Brownlee’s family has donated the use of the barn. It will be decked out in country decor, including sunflowers in cowboy boots at the table centerpieces and bales of hay.
The club hopes to raise money for education scholarships. It is also involved in a number of other fundraising and volunteer activities that benefit the United Food Bank of Plant City, Plan USA, the Pregnancy Care Center and Stepping Stone Farms among others.
Tickets are $20 and must be purchased by Wednesday March 20. Call Peggy at 813-752-7905 or Pat at 813-754-7905.
