At the Hillsborough County School Board meeting on July 14, Traci Durrance was appointed the new principal of Tomlin Middle School, effective July 20.
Durrance is currently the assistant principal for administration and athletic director at Plant City High School, a position that she has held since 2009. Durrance began her career at PCHS in 2007 as a resource teacher. Her new position at Tomlin will be a homecoming. From 1993 to 2006, Durrance served as Tomlin’s physical education teacher.
The principal position at Tomlin Middle School was formerly held by Susan Sullivan, who will be taking over as PCHS’ principal at the start of the upcoming school year.
The full story on Durrance’s new position as Tomlin’s principal will be available in the July 17 edition of the Plant City Times & Observer.
