While the road is closed, drivers can follow a detour route to navigate around the area.
Beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, July 17, eastbound and westbound SR 60 will close between SR 39 (James L. Redman Parkway) and County Line Road in Hillsborough County.
This section of SR 60 will close for approximately 7 days, weather permitting.
During this CSX closure, motorists will not be able to cross the tracks.
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone using SR 39 (James L. Redman Parkway), Alexander Street, Park Road, US 92 (Baker Street) and County Line Road.
Access to residents and businesses will be maintained.
Electronic message boards and detour signs will be used to assist motorists traveling through the detour.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, drivers should anticipate heavier than normal volumes of traffic on these roads during this CSX closure.
