A traveling learning lab is coming to Plant City Thursday, Aug. 13.
Known as the WaterVentures mobile lab, the 53-foot semi trailer travels around Florida to teach communities about environmental science. Inside there are high-tech modules that present issues around recycling, aquifers, wetlands and more.
Outside there will be hands-on student stations, such as watershed tables, a relief map of Florida’s water features, recycling exhibits, product distribution bins and a demonstration table.
The event will be from 12 to 4 p.m. at the East County Family Resource Center, 639 E. Alexander St. For more information visit waterventures.us.
