Among the many changes coming to Christmas Lane in 2015 is the addition of a canned food drive.
Sponsored by the United Food Bank of Plant City, the drive will accept any canned goods and dry foods on-site. Christmas Lane, which has moved to the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds, will host the drive for as long as it is open – seven nights a week, 6 to 10 p.m., from Nov. 23 through Jan. 3. All donated goods will be sent to needy families in the Plant City area.
“We are honored to have Christmas Lane host a food drive for us and to be part of this spectacular event,” United Food Bank Executive Director Christine Miller said in a release. “It’s wonderful community partnerships like this that enable us to collectively make a difference in so many (of the) lives of our fellow residents, especially during the holidays.”
