UPDATE: 12-year-old girl found safe

A 12-year-old girl who ran away from her Plant City home Oct. 7, has been found safe.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for a 12-year-old girl who ran away from her Plant City home this morning.

According to Sheriff’s Office reports, Madison Boardman disabled the window alarm on her bedroom window, cut the screen and exited via the bedroom window. The home is located in the 920 block of Cowart Road.

According to her mother, Madison has recently been getting into fights and has been suspended from two different schools. Her mother stated  she and Madison had recently gotten into an argument. According to her mother, this is the first time that Madison has run away.

Madison is described as a white female, 5-foot-1, 135 pounds, medium build, brown eyes and brown hair.
