Two boaters capsized in a pond off of Turkey Creek Road Saturday, Feb. 27.
Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission has released the identities of two boaters involved in a capsizing accident in a pond off of Turkey Creek Road at 5:54 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.
Jose Perez-Bravo, 21, of Plant City, was not able to swim to shore, which was about 50 feet from where the boat capsized. Divers from Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office recovered his body.
Antonio Lopez, 28, did make it to shore. He notified a nearby homeowner of the incident, who contacted the Plant City Police Department.
The pond was just west of a private property at 1709 Turkey Creek Road. Florida Fish & Conservation Wildlife Commission has assumed jurisdiction over the ongoing investigation.
