UPS truck overturns after being t-boned

A UPS truck overturned after bing struck by a car at the intersection of North Alexander Street and the Interstate 4 interchange, Dec. 2.

At about 9:40 a.m., a beige Nissan driven by Mary Lott was traveling eastbound on the I-4 ramp and ran a red light. The UPS truck driven by Anthony Auguste had been traveling southbound on North Alexander Street and was passing through the intersection on a green light. The car entered the intersection and struck the UPS truck on the right side, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Auguste sustained minor abrasions and was treated at the scene, while Lott was transported to South Florida Baptist hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not life threatening.

Traffic traveling southbound on North Alexander Street was diverted for about 45 minutes until the overturned truck could be removed.
