Visions Golf opts for multi-family homes over adult living facility

Visions Golf LLC, submitted plans on Monday, April 4, that altered the plans for the proposed rezoning at the closed 18-hole golf course on Walden Lake. The company owns both The Hills and The Lakes course in the Plant City community.

At Unit 61, which is just off of Clubhouse Drive, Visions Golf proposed replacing the proposed adult living facility with multi-family homes. The golf course's driving range used to be located on the lot.

"They proposed 61 multi-family homes," Phillip Scearce, principal planner with the City of Plant City's Planning and Zoning department, said. "They can be either apartments or town houses."

A public hearing regarding the proposed rezoning will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at the John R. Trinkle Center on the Hillsborough Community College campus, 1206 N. Park Road, Plant City.
