Visions Golf, the company that owns the two 18-hole golf courses in the Walden Lake community, has submitted plans to City of Plant City staff regarding the closed Hills golf course. The plan submitted is not official, and is just to receive feedback from staff.
The revised plans include an assisted living facility that would be a maximum of two stories high, not to exceed 35 feet. The assisted living facility would be made up of 60 units with kitchens, or 121 units without kitchens, or a combination of those units. The assisted living facility, which would be built after a 30-foot landscaped buffer, would be built to fit the residential character of nearby homes.
Additionally, plans include 156 multi-family homes, which would cover 54.83 acres. A maximum of three town homes would be part of each unit of the multi-family home development. Like the assisted living facility, the multi-family homes would be limited to two stories in height. The area for multi-family homes would also have a five-acre park with lake access. The park would be accessible to all Walden Lake residents of Walden Lake Polo & Country Club.
