The new plans have clarified and reduced some of the original plans.
Visions Golf, the company that owns the two 18-hole golf courses in the Walden Lake community, has submitted updated plans for residential development.
The plans were submitted to the City of Plant City's Planning and Zoning department on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and then resubmitted on Thursday, Feb. 4, due to a typo.
"There's a reduction overall in the number of units," Phillip Scearce, principal planner for the Planning and Zoning department, said.
About 400 units have been cut from the original plan.
When the original plans, which included an assisted living facility, 156 multi-family homes and 154 single-family homes, were submitted, the Hillsborough County Environmental Protection Commission was concerned about the wetland impacts of the plans. The commission recommended against the plans in July 2015.
It has not been determined yet if the revised plans will have an impact on the wetlands.
"We're still evaluating that," Scearce said. "We've got the plan and we're reviewing it."
The revised plans also will be sent out to external agencies for review.
