VSI will return home to Plant City Stadium this weekend against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds before hosting rival Orlando City Sunday, Aug. 4. Kickoff for Friday is 7:30 p.m. while Sunday is set for 7 p.m.
VSI Tampa Bay FC picked up four points last weekend on the road after beating the Wilmington Hammerheads 2-1 and drawing a scoreless tie with the Richmond Kickers.
Wilmington’s Shawn Nicklaw tallied his first Hammerheads goal of the season July 26, but it was not enough to lead his team to victory as Tampa Bay’s Josh Rife and Chad Burt added two goals within five minutes of each other to give VSI an important victory.
By holding to a scoreless draw with VSI July 28, Richmond extended its lead at the top of the USL PRO standings.
