The VSI PDL men will travel to Trinity Catholic High School, in Ocala, Thursday, July 18 to face the Southeast Division leaders, Ocala Stampede.
Tables have turned since the original meeting between VSI and Ocala earlier this season where VSI left Plant City Stadium satisfied with the 2-0 victory. Despite the opening win, VSI (5-2-5) shifted into fourth place while Ocala (10-3-0) sits atop the division with 30 points in 13 games.
The Southeast Division is one of two parts of the Southern Conference. The other is the Mid South Division in which Ocala sits second overall in points behind the Austin Aztex’s, who hold 31 points in 12 games played.
Although VSI (5-2-5) hold fourth place in the Southeast Division standings, they play their final two matches for pride only, as they will not move on to post-season play. Ocala is VSI’s second to last match of the 2013 season. VSI visits Ocala after their recent 1-1 draw with Orlando City U23s (7-4-2).
Thursday evening’s match is the final regular season game for Ocala Stampede before they enter post-season play. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.
VSI ends the season at home Sunday, July 21. Kick off against Panama City Beach is set for 7 p.m. at Plant City Stadium. Admission and parking to the final match of the VSI PDL season are free. For more information on the team visit www.vsi-fc.com.
