After a VSI Tampa Bay FC’s 4-2 victory over the Charleston Battery Saturday, the team is preparing to host Harrisburg Friday, July 19, at Plant City Stadium.
Former Battery player and current VSI captain Kyle Hoffer delivered a sharp pass to the feet of midfielder Tony Donatelli opening the doors to a flurry of goals in the first ten minutes of Saturday night’s match.
VSI entered the second half with a 3-0 lead over Charleston. VSI took a 4-0 lead in the 59th minute when Sallieu Bundu found the back of the net off a JT Noone pass. The Battery narrowed the deficit with goals from Heviel Cordoves and Jose Cuevas in the 63rd and 90th minute, respectively, but the lead was too much to overcome.
VSI will host Harrisburg Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the match are available online at www.vsi-fc.com and the match will also be live on www.uslnation.com.
