Following the completion and opening of Mendonsa Road, Plant City soon will begin a project to add a sidewalk on the south side of the road.
The sidewalk project has a 70-day construction schedule, once work commences.
The city funded the majority of the road reconstruction, and the Florida Department of Transportation funded the sidewalk project.
