YMCA to start free fall sessions for toddlers

The Plant City Family YMCA is one of two Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCAs to offer Caring with Me, a free community program for parents, relatives and caregivers of children 5 and under.

The program will start Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 and go to June 9, 2016 at the Plant City Family YMCA, 1507 YMCA Place. There are two sessions, both from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Caring and Learning with Me is an evidence-based program which provides both child and caregiver with developmentally-appropriate and culturally-sensitive curriculum to help young children enter school ready to learn and succeed. In the Caring and Learning with Me program, facilitators use music, story time, art and outdoor play to prepare young kids for school. Healthy snacks are also provided. In addition, on-going learning opportunities back at home assure program quality and impact.
