The 5th annual Mid-Florida Summer Home Show and the annual Plant City Rotary’s Community Appreciation Day are on their way.
Revamping the home
The Mid-Florida Summer Home Show is returning for its fifth year from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 12. The show is held at the Florida Strawberry Festival Grounds and will feature more than 100 home improvement specialists, a plant and garden show, seminars and DIY projects.
The event is free and has free parking. The vendors on site are experts in everything from flooring and landscaping to smart homes. Habitat for Humanity is also joining the festivities for the first time and will be accepting donations and signing up volunteers.
Rotary day of fun returns
The Plant City Rotary’s Community Appreciation Day is almost here. On Aug. 4, families can gather at the Randy Larson Softball Complex for free hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones and beverages. There will also be free backpacks filled with supplies for the first 500 students that arrive.
