Minifig trading is taking over and Little Miss Plant City and her court helped prep for the 2018 Empty Bowls Project.
Mini-fig takeover
Brick City Bricks, Plant City’s very own LEGO store, held a mini-fig trading night on Aug. 31. Members of the community came out to trade their extra or non-favorite minifigures with other LEGO fanatics. The special event is held on the last Friday of each month during the food truck rally and features special discounts on figures throughout the store.
Prepping for Empty Bowls Project
Little Miss Plant City and her court helped the United Food Bank of Plant City prepare for its upcoming 2018 Empty Bowls Project, which helps raise money to ensure no family is in need.
The young girls glazed their own bowls, which will be auctioned off at the big event. Empty Bowl tickets are now on sale for $5. The event is Saturday, Nov. 11 at The Robert W. Willaford Railroad Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
